Our Nut-Free Kitchen
All of our cupcakes are produced in a kitchen that has been licensed and certified by the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, which ensures a safe, wholesome, and properly-labeled food supply through conducting periodic unannounced inspections of food processors.In addition, our kitchen is a completely nut-free facility, and we do not use any tree nuts, peanuts, or products containing tree nuts/peanuts in any of our baking. We also make every effort to insure that our component ingredients are not processed on equipment that also processes nuts.We do use coconut in our kitchen, and we are aware of the conflicting information on whether coconut should be avoided by people with tree nut allergies. Nevertheless, since there is a low incidence of coconut allergies and we observe stringent sanitation practices, we are comfortable that the presence of coconut in our kitchen should not pose a cross-contamination risk. |
